First Coaches Poll Top-10 Includes Six Fairfield County Teams

Not a bad opening week for Fairfield County teams in The Day of New London’s state coaches poll.
Six teams made the Top 10, as you can see here:
First-place votes in parentheses, record, points tabulated on a 30-28-26-24-22-20-18-16-14-12-11-10-9-8-7 basis and last year’s final ranking:

Polls are definitely based on rep from previous season. Masuk should be ahead of NC but other than that it’s close. If this is a down year for NC and Greenwich I hate to think what the next 2 seasons must hold after they “rebuild” in this one.

so now the media has gone from ignoring New Canaan as a rebuilding year to the coaches saying NC is 5th in the state
safe to say they fall somewhere in the middle…not sure they even deserve top 20 at this point
I also understand that this initial poll lives off of last years end results
