Week 7 Picks… The Friday Games
October 29, 2009 in FCIAC Central, FCIAC East, FCIAC West by timparry
Wow, what a bad Week 6 pick-wise. I was 5-5. Bridgeport Central pulled off the upset. So did Central. Bassick didn’t help me out by losing to Wilton. Oh well, that makes me 39-19 so far on the season, which is not very good.
Here’s the Friday picks:
New Canaan at Wilton: Wilton is on a two game run, but New Canaan is still rolling. No reason to think the Rams are destined for a letdown. New Canaan’s winning streak goes to 23 games.
St. Joseph at Fairfield Warde: The Mustangs found out how to win again, but can Warde keep it going against St. Joseph? The Cadets showed a lot of character with its fourth-quarter comeback against New Canaan. OK, it wasn’t a comeback because New Canaan won, but two touchdowns in the fourth quarter show me the Cadets won’t back down. St. Joseph gets the win.
Stamford at Bridgeport Central: This is a huge trap game for Bridgeport Central, which finally showed it could win the big game last week against Greenwich. Stamford surprised Trumbull last week and has the potential to make it three straight wins. But I think in the end, Central won’t lose at Kennedy Stadium.
Danbury at Trumbull: Danbury is on a five game losing streak, Trumbull has lost two straight. Something’s got to give. I say Trumbull gets the senior night win.
Westhill at Greenwich: Wow, what a bad week for Westhill to have to play Greenwich, with the Cardinals falling to Central last week. You know Greenwich will be out for blood, and will win.
Staples at Ludlowe: Okay, we’re going on a field trip to The Road to Royle. That’s where you’ll find my pick for the Staples-Ludlowe game.

HAHAHAHA oh my Lord that is priceless what I just read that blue wave drater said. NC is allowed to have swagger and an ego when they have that much success to their name, Darien is cocky and they have absolutely nothing to be cocky about. Also, the fact teh NC will LOSE OUT….. Wow…. priceless… and lastly just think about how long it took to type all those teams that would have to lose for you to have a prayer to rematch a team you got embarrassed by in the first place. You honestly shouldn’t have even posted that because it just bumps your whole town down a level by trying to knock on far superior teams than yours.
Ludlowe is a better team then people give em credit for and will come out with the win. They could have beaten New Canaan, but, they realized if they boost New Canaans already super huge ego, they would get cocky and lose out after that. This is a good strategy especially for the turkey bowl beacuse New Canaan Wont know what hit em when Maybell, Benitez, and Nolan are flying around the field. I believe It is time for FCIAC CHAMPIONSHIP PREDICTIONS I say New Canaan loses out and Staples Greenwich Ridgefield and central all have tough rest of the seasons and it is Darien Warde in the rematch of the CENTURY At Boyle this year. This would be bigger than all the previous years put togethers crowds. a game of the ages!
Staples doesn’t need this kid to be a hero; just take care of the football and their defense will handle the rest.
who*
i think staples will have a tough time with out their senior qb ho broke his leg….staples is prob gonna lose. i dont have any faith in that back up qb
Heck, I can’t even find Ridgefield on a map… or with a map… Except for Pamby Motors. I can find that
Why is that the tiger’s are always a after thought??????????????
Thanks Nicky, I have awful cut-and-paste skills:
Brien McMahon at Ridgefield: All signs lead to Ridgefield winning this game. But will the Tigers have a hard time handling McMahon? Or will Ridgefield dominate from the opening kickoff. I have a feeling it’ll be a low-scoring win for the Tigers.
What about Ridgefield McMahon?
