Not much more to report about the Fairfield County 7 on 7 Grip It and Rip It Passing Tournament, which is just a few weeks away. The field is up to 18 teams (not including two representing New Canaan). The most recent additions are Brookfield, Trinity Catholic, Iona Prep, Lowell (Mass.) and Immaculate.
You can find more info about the tournament in this earlier post, including a roster of teams that have committed.
If you have any questions or would like to get your team involved, check out BigSkillsClinnic.com or e-mail Joe Bouffard at coachbouf@yahoo.com or John Marinelli at john.l.marinelli@gmail.com. The tournament is presented by BlueStreak Sports Training and the FCIAC Football Blog.

Yes, that “For Sale” sign in the FCIAC Football Blog banner is real. I am looking to sell the FCIAC Football Blog. My wife and I are having a baby boy in September, and being a father to William Raymond Parry is my number-one priority. It’s the most-important thing in my life. Read the full story
Welcome to the new and improved FCIAC Football Blog. I told you earlier this month that I was going to make this a social network. I put up the infrastructure, now I just need you to come back.
Buddypress and bbPress have been activated, as has a new template that supports the changes. If you’ve ever registered with the FCIAC Football Blog, then your login works here. Read the full story
Garrett Brown came to Fairfield Prep with hopes of starring on its ice hockey team. Now, twincities.com reports that Brown, a four-year starter at defensive tackle at Minnesota, has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs did not take a defensive lineman in the 2010 NFL Draft, and have just four players listed as defensive tackles on its roster. Two of those are first-year players. Read the full story
