Anyone else see the Corsairs fly over Stratford’s Sikorsky Airport last night? Probably not. Because as The Advocate’s Bob Greeney reports, the air show was at Bunnell High School last night.
Trinity Catholic was able to hold the Bulldogs’ Steve Smith, a Division I-AA prospect, to 17 completions in 43 attempts, but he was good for 410 yards (I has 397, but Bob and I were joking that no two statistical accounts are ever the same in high school football… he has one more pass and completion, which I probably missed while fetching hot dogs).
To quote from Greeney’s article:
“He’s the best (quarterback) we’ve played against,” Trinity Catholic coach Bryan Fox said. “He’s probably the best we’ve played against in a long time. He’s a heck of a player.”
