Former Bridgeport Central star Keith Carlos has been moved into the Purdue backfield. And Carlos, who played running back for the Hilltoppers and then at Lackawanna College, has been showing the flashes that made him such a threat in the FCIAC. Read the full story
Bridgeport Central graduate Keith Carlos got off to a great start in his first NCAA Division I game. The Purdue junior, who spent the last two seasons at Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA, scored a touchdown on a 24-yard pass from Joey Elliott. It was Carlos’s only catch in the 52-31 win over Toledo today.
Former Bridgeport Central standout Keith Carlos was a big name for the Hilltoppers, but he also shared the load at running back with a few other standout players. Colleges really took notice of Carlos when he won the MVP awards in both the Connecticut-Rhode Island game and the Hall of Fame Classic, and then after teo seasons at Lackawanna College.
After a last-second turn-down of Temple, Carlos accepted a scholarship in February from Purdue… and suddenly he’s being mentioned in just about every college preview.
